THE TAKE
Arcane is a self-hosted web interface for managing Docker. Start, stop and inspect containers, stream their logs, and manage images, networks and volumes, with live CPU, memory and network graphs. Edit Compose projects in the browser, or keep them in a Git repository and let Arcane sync them.
Auto updates check registries on a schedule and recreate containers and projects with newer images. Scan images for known vulnerabilities, build images, and manage other Docker hosts and Swarm clusters through lightweight agents, including hosts behind NAT. There’s a fully documented REST API, and an iOS app in beta.
Arcane is open source under the BSD 3-Clause license and runs as a single container with Docker or Podman. It’s free, and the project promises it will stay that way.
