THE TAKE

Papra is an open-source document archiving platform. Upload your receipts, contracts, letters and scans, and keep them in one calm, searchable place instead of scattered across inboxes and drives.

Group documents into organizations you share with family or colleagues, tag them by hand or with automatic tagging rules, and find anything with full-text search, including text pulled from scanned images. Forward an email to your own intake address and its attachments are imported for you.

It’s built for developers too, with an API, webhooks, a CLI and an SDK. Use the hosted version on its free plan, or self-host the whole thing with Docker at no cost. Papra is bootstrapped and independent, made and hosted in Europe.
