THE TAKE
Pelican is a free, open-source game server control panel for friends, communities and hosts. Create and manage servers from a modern web interface, with a live console, file manager, backups, schedules, databases, subusers and startup settings for each one.
Every server runs in its own isolated Docker container through Wings, Pelican’s server daemon, so one machine can host many games side by side. Eggs define how each game installs and runs, covering Minecraft, Terraria, Palworld, Valheim, Enshrouded, Factorio, Rust and many more, plus Discord bots, voice servers and other software. Security includes SSL, two-factor authentication, passkeys and AES-256 encryption.
Pelican is free forever and open source, with the panel under AGPL-3.0 and Wings under MIT. It’s built upon Pterodactyl and is in beta on the way to 1.0.
